Indispensable link between the industry and the Flanders Make Network
As a Key Account Manager, you manage a client portfolio consisting of both large, publicly listed companies and smaller innovation leaders. You identify commercial opportunities and translate them into successful projects that shape the future of the high-tech manufacturing industry.
You are a visionary partner for your clients, unafraid to dream alongside them about their ambitions. As a central trusted advisor, you gain a deep understanding of their strategy, market position, and needs. Through your active interest and engagement, and with the support of our network of over 900 experts, you provide well-founded advice on innovative solutions with sustainable added value. You collaborate with research labs within Flanders Make and Flemish universities to create unique opportunities.
With your strategic approach, you connect future business needs to the expertise and capabilities of Flanders Make and its partners. By building strong relationships at various levels, you contribute to revenue growth and maintain our high levels of customer satisfaction. You work closely with the commercial team and report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, actively sharing your ideas and insights.
You are frequently on the road within Flanders and work site-independently. Additionally, you are open to traveling to European destinations (approximately 5 to 10 times a year).

During the interviews, you’ll convince us of your authentic communication skills and eagerness to learn. We want to assess whether you can build strong credibility during negotiations with high-level stakeholders.
Ideally, you have 10 years of experience as a Key Account Manager in the industry. If not, you can demonstrate relevant experience in establishing partnerships or managing a client portfolio. You have proven success in connecting with clients or people, for instance, in services or consultancy.
