Technical Project Manager Data Intelligence Platform

Build the data brain that makes the industry smarter.
At Flanders Make, you will work together with a team of top researchers on a groundbreaking data intelligence platform. This platform supports root-cause analysis (RCA) and connects data, information and knowledge from the entire lifecycle of cyber-physical systems. You will play a key role in realizing industrial innovation by leading projects that deploy technologies such as knowledge graphs, ontologies, reasoning algorithms, and AI tools.
Your role
As Technical Project Manager:
- You will coordinate the implementation of technological research projects with great industrial relevance;
- You will lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers and software developers;
- You will build a joint ambition with stakeholders such as industrial partners, CTOs, account managers and knowledge institutions;
- Monitor the progress and quality of project results;
- Contribute to the development of the data intelligence platform, with a focus on RCA workflows and AI integration;
- Invest 10–20% of your time in bringing in new research and B2B projects;
- Conduct your first substantive discussions with industrial partners and work closely with business developers;
- Represent Flanders Make in networks and build lasting relationships.
PROFILE
- You have a master's or doctoral degree in a relevant technical field;
- You have at least 5 years of experience in software development or project management in an industrial context;
- Technical affinity with data analytics, AI, semantic technologies, and product quality;
- Knowledge of or interest in: * Knowledge graphs, ontologies, reasoning algorithms * RCA methods such as FMEA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa * AI tools, LLMs, semantic web, digital product passports;
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English;
- Experience with stakeholder management and risk assessment;
- Ability to conceptually think along with customers and understand their core challenges;
- Team-oriented and coaching leadership style.
